State Representative resgins after racial attacks
Vermont state representative, Kiah Morris, resigned from her position after she was the victim of a slew of racial harassment cases. Morris was the only woman--and woman of color-- on the Vermont state representative seats.
The Washington Post reports that a heightened presence of white supremacists in her district began to leave Neo-Nazi propaganda near her office. Her personal property was also vandalized, as white supremacists covered trucks outside her home with swastikas on them. Morris was also the victim of multiple death threats--some involving her 7-year-old son.
