Meek Mill on Criminal Justice Reform

Over this past week Meek Mill was interviewed on CNN to talk about Criminal Justice Reform. Meek discussed his hardships growing up in an impoverished and violent community. In and out of the prison system since he was a teen, Meek talks about the false accusations made against him that landed him in jail, leading to future issues with probation.

This interview was important because a major news network, CNN was able to give someone who is a victim of the injustices within our own criminal system a platform to speak. It is important that we talk about these issues in the media because these types of discussions inform people, by giving them perspectives they are not used to.
