Brett Kavanaugh & Susan Collins.... what?
The past few weeks have undoubtably been the most stressful for women and victims of sexual assault. As we've seen in the news, Senator Susan Collins has decided to vote yes on confirming Brett Kavanaugh as a supreme court justice.
If Brett Kavanaugh is confirmed, he will be one of the most powerful people in the United State's judiciary system. His confirmation is also problematic because of his irrational behavior during his testimony earlier this week, as well as inability to comply with the FBI investigation- which concluded essentially nothing.
Senator Collin's vote for Kavanaugh is shocking considering her previous response on Al Franken. She's quoted, “I did find the allegations against him to be both credible, disgusting and appalling and degrading to women,”

I agree with you in that it is people like, Senator Collins, who says one thing and does another to gain public appeal. She knew what she had to say but clearly did not support it or else she would not have voted for him.
