There has been much discussion over Stacy Abrams’ Gubernatorial race in GA.  Stand to become the first black female governor, but only if Newley African Americans are allowed to vote.  There’s a long history of black voter suppression in the United States. And new attempt to prevent black people from voting are no different.  Over 53,000 voter applications have been put on hold, over 2/3 of which are African-American.  Voter suppression is a tool used by the Hereropatriarchy to keep black peoples and women out of power.

Similar tactics are being used to prevent Native Americans from voting in Montana as well. By requiring people to present a residential address, it puts people who use PO boxes, like many Native Americans, at a disadvantage.
