Tear Gas in Tijuana

Over the Thanksgiving break, the US government ordered border patrol to tear gas the caravan of people trying to cross through Mexico. This is incredibly problematic because the people attempting to come to the United States are seeking asylumn. By tear gassing and shooting pellets at these people, the government is further perpetuating the "alien" aspect of the people approaching us from the south.

Continuing this idea of "US Superiority", Donald Trump tweeted, "Would be very SMART if Mexico would stop the Caravans long before they get to our Southern Border, or if originating countries would not let them form (it is a way they get certain people out of their country and dump in U.S. No longer).". It's unfortunate that a world leader does not have the higher level thinking capabilities that empathy apparently accompanies.
