Caitlyn Jenner makes a mistake
Caitlyn Jenner wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post, where she voiced her concern over Trump's stance on transgender issues. Jenner, who voted for Trump in the last election, belongs to an overwhelming number of women who thought along similar lines: Trump will be good for women. Mistakenly, Jenner now sees the 'error' of her ways. While her recognition of her fault is commendable, it still plays into white feminism and their lack of intersectionality. Women who voted for Trump are typically associated with denouncing feminist efforts, or believing these efforts should not and do not stretch across racial lines.
I thought this post was interesting and relevant to course framework regarding Kimberlee Crenshaw's text on Intersectionality and how it affects feminist ideals and practice.
