#MeToo and "Women do it too?"

I was scrolling through Refinery29, a habit I do often, and came across this headline.

"When Women Are The Bad Guys: Female Sexual Assaulters In The #MeToo Era"

I instantly shook my head and did a double-take. Did I really just read that? The article talks about women who sexually assault men. In an attempt to be 'devil's advocate' the article fails to get the point of the #MeToo movement. While the article tries discuss that women can also be abusers, which is a true and valid point, the timing and actual content of the article are completely off point. In a time where Kavanaugh will most likely be confirmed and women everywhere are being oppressed and not believed when they come out with their stories of sexual assault, this is a disservice to the entire #MeToo movement. It also doesn't feature any man who was victim of such assault, so, really, really off base.
