LGBTQ Community Shows Up for Midterms

This past midterm election, there was a lot of rallying and campaigning for young voters to come out and participate. With this, came a lot of campaigning from celebrities and influencers, telling their fan bases to go out and vote if they want their opinions to be demonstrated in our government. Well, we did show up. Young voters showed, minorities showed up, and the LGBT community showed up at the polls.

The LGBT community showed up SO HARD, that according to an NBC News exit poll, "More than 80 percent of lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans people voted for their district’s Democratic House candidate". This was a record high for the LGBT community. It's awesome that they came to the polls and demonstrated their civic duty to vote because they are getting the representation they want and deserve in the US government.
