Objectification and Women's Bodies
Women are constantly objectified in the media. One example is recent when an article titled, "Kenya Moore Flaunts Snapback Body 3 Weeks After Giving Birth," posted on Ebony.com. It insinuates to other women that they must have flawless body just 3 weeks after giving birth to a child. It objectifies the female body and demonstrates the power of the male gaze. It also adds to the "fear" perpetuated by the media that a fat body isn't a worthy body. In this case, fat is equated with pregnancy.
