Trump is Pulling Press Passes Like They're Cow Utters!
On Wednesday night, President Trump got in a tiff with CNN reporter Jim Acosta, when Acosta asked Trump some questions. The president then decided to take away Acosta's WH press pass so he wasn't allowed access during press conferences.
This applies to our class because the President is dismissing reporters of opposing opinions and using language like, "You talk about somebody that's a loser, she doesn't know what the hell she's doing..she's very nasty, and she shouldn't be. She shouldn't be.". By marginalizing reporters with opposing opinions, the President is subjecting the US to one-sided reporting which will lead to many inaccuracies and falsehoods.
To create an even playing field for the media and it's audiences, it's important for all reporters to have the opportunity to speak to the president during a press conference, and report factual information. If not, we will see flat news coverage because the perspective of one opinion is being portrayed.
